Continuing Education and Outreach is the regional center of lifelong learning and professional development at the Stevens Point, Marshfield and Wausau campuses.  The three locations offer programs and services for individuals and organizations in business and industry, education, government, and for individuals seeking personal enrichment in arts and leisure. As a regional outreach provider, Continuing Education and Outreach provides business counseling, certificate programs, conferences, conference and event planning services, customized trainings, educational travel, online degrees, summer camps, and an array of personal enrichment non-credit professional/talent development opportunities delivered both virtually and in-person. CE facilitates the following programs and services:

Conference Planning: Services include planning and administering professional development conferences or workshops from initial planning to final wrap-up. 

Continuing Education Units: CEUs are offered through Continuing Education and Outreach for professional development programs.

Customized Training and Talent Development Programming: Customized trainings, workshops, and non-credit and graduate certificates designed to meet non-profit, government, and business and industry needs. Certificate programming offers in-depth training for leadership, management and inclusive excellence.

Community Programming: The offices in Stevens Point, Marshfield and Wausau offer general interest programming in the arts, theater, music and a myriad of personal interests.  This programming is a touchpoint for the residents with the campuses and enhances the quality of life in the community.

Online Collaborative Degree and Certificate Programs:  Fully online, semester-based programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level taught in partnership with various University of Wisconsin campuses through UW Extended Campus.  They offer quality education for personal and professional development of returning adult and/or graduate students.

Learning for Older Adults:   The Learning is Forever program (LIFE) is a membership-based program for adult learners, providing an opportunity to share experiences, promote intellectual and cultural enrichment, and encourage lifelong learning.

Small Business Development Center (SBDC): Provides no cost, confidential advising and resources as well as fee-based workshops/conferences to both startup and existing businesses throughout nine counties - Adams, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Oneida, Portage, Vilas, Waupaca, and Wood.

Youth Camps: Opportunities for students in grades 5 - 12 to explore a variety of topics both virtually and in-person.

Travel: Includes Adventure Tours and Multi-day Cultural Excursions: Take a few days to experience and enjoy the food, people and places you will visit with us; Weekend Retreat: Step out of your everyday and escape with us for a weekend retreat to revitalize yourself; Daycation: Experience a day trip away from the ordinary.  Trips leave from all three campuses.   

UWSP - STEAM Point Days: STEAM is an approach to learning that uses science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics through hands-on workshops and activities. These one-day conferences, presented by UW-Stevens Point faculty, staff and professionals in various fields, are designed for 7th and 8th grade experiential learners.
